Professional Standards for All Kkala Learners
1.1 ATTENDANCE POLICY (Minimum Requirements)
To uphold the quality of training at Kkala, students must maintain a minimum attendance of: ✔ 70% of total classes

3-Month Courses

6-Month Courses

12-Month Courses
Important:

Missing more than 30% of sessions makes the student ineligible for certification.

No refunds will be issued for missed classes.

No compensations, replays, or extra sessions will be arranged.
This standard aligns with global studio-based learning practices and ensures fairness for both faculty and students.
1.2 RECORDING OF ATTENDANCE
Attendance is formally recorded:

At the start of every session
-
By the instructor or Kkala admin team

Through the official Kkala Studio attendance system
Late Arrival Policy:

More than 15 minutes late → counted as absent
-
Partial attendance is not counted.
1.3 POLICY FOR MISSED CLASSES
To respect faculty schedules and studio operations, Kkala does not offer:

Replays or recordings
-
Replacement sessions
-
Make-up classes
-
Additional hours for absenteeism
However, in genuine emergencies, students may request:

This helps students stay updated without disrupting batch progress.
1.4 EXCUSED ABSENCE POLICY
An absence may be marked as Excused only in exceptional circumstances:
Valid Reasons:

Medical emergencies

Hospitalisation

Immediate family crisis

Mandatory school/university exams

Professional music/arts engagements (case-by-case)
Required Documents:

Medical certificate/doctor’s note

Hall ticket/exam proof

Proof of emergency
Note: An excused absence does not guarantee a compensatory class. It only protects the student from disciplinary consequences.
1.5 PUNCTUALITY RULES
Maintaining time discipline is essential in professional studio environments.
Late Arrival Handling:

0–10 min: allowed quietly

10–15 min: marked late

Three late marks = 1 absence

15+ min: marked absent
Repeated Lateness:

After 3 instances: formal warning
-
After 5 instances: possible removal from batch
This ensures smooth class flow and respect for the learning environment.
1.6 STUDIO CONDUCT RULES
Applicable across all Kkala spaces: Atmos Room, Production Rooms, Live Room, and rehearsal zones.
Strictly Prohibited:
❌ Eating or drinking inside studio rooms
❌ Touching equipment without supervision
❌ Changing cables/patching/routing
❌ Adjusting AC or ventilation
❌ Bringing guests without permission
❌ Recording non-course content
❌ Running, horseplay, or excessive noise
❌ Filming equipment without approval
Mandatory Behaviour:
✔ Maintain silence in recording zones
✔ Handle microphones & stands gently
✔ Follow faculty instructions promptly
✔ Keep bags/phones away from gear
✔ Use headphones responsibly
✔ Return equipment to its designated place
✔ Shut down systems properly
Any violation → written warning → possible removal from course.
1.7 PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR & ETIQUETTE
Students at Kkala are expected to carry themselves like emerging professionals.

1.8 DIGITAL & DEVICE POLICY
Phones:

Must remain in silent mode

No phone usage during recording/mixing

No filming without written consent
Laptops:

Allowed only for coursework
-
No gaming, streaming, or unrelated content
Headphones:

Students must bring their own headphones
-
No sharing for hygiene reasons
1.9 SAFETY RULES

Follow all electrical safety instructions

Never unplug or move equipment without permission

Report faulty gear immediately
-
Use only surge-protected extensions
-
Do not attempt to lift heavy studio equipment
Safety ensures both student wellbeing and the longevity of the studio infrastructure.
1.10 DISCIPLINARY MEASURES
Depending on the severity of the issue, Kkala may apply:

Verbal Warning

Written Warning

Temporary Suspension (no refunds)

Termination of enrolment (no refunds)
For major violations—including equipment damage or misconduct—actions may include:

Recovery of financial losses
-
Removal from all Kkala programs
-
Legal action (if applicable)
1.11 SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
Students may not:

Use Kkala branding without permission
-
Tag Kkala for unrelated/personal promotion
-
Film studio content for reels without approval
-
Share recordings involving peers without consent
Any breach will invite strict disciplinary action.
1.12 COMMUNICATION EXPECTATIONS
Students are expected to:

Check batch WhatsApp groups / broadcast updates daily

Respond to attendance confirmations
-
Submit assignments by the given deadlines
-
Inform faculty at least 24 hours in advance for planned leave
(Emergencies excluded)
